The Contemporary programme is an expressive form of dance that includes different genres including modern jazz, classical ballet, lyrical and teaches the students release technique falls and recovery, improvisation, parallel legs, curving, twisting, floor work, strengthening and contact work. We encourage students to tell a story through dance, we have also introduced contemporary dance curriculum to the younger dancers, this is another class the teacher can offer and get them interested in our introduction to contemporary dancing for primary school children ages 5-10yrs music and movement and using my imagination.
